Which class was exclusive to the Dracthyr race when Dragonflight launched?

The story behind the answer

The class exclusive to the Dracthyr race when Dragonflight launched was Evoker.

Dragonflight introduced Evoker as a new hero class designed specifically around the Dracthyr’s ability to channel the powers of Azeroth’s dragonflights. Unlike most World of Warcraft classes, Evoker was initially restricted to one race, making the Dracthyr-Evoker pairing unusually narrow and central to the expansion’s identity.

Evokers wear mail armor and use empowered draconic abilities. At release, the class offered Devastation, a ranged damage specialization, and Preservation, a healing specialization. Augmentation, a support-oriented damage specialization, arrived later in Dragonflight. Dracthyr characters also began at level 58 and followed a dedicated introductory storyline in the Forbidden Reach.

The restriction was not simply a mechanical choice: the lore presents Evoker abilities as talents built into Dracthyr physiology and training. Players sometimes confuse this answer with Dracthyr because the two were launched together, but Dracthyr names the race and Evoker names the class. At launch, no Mage, Shaman, or Monk could be a Dracthyr.
