Sara Davies is the founder of the craft business brand Crafter's Companion.
Davies founded Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a student at the University of York. The company began with a product designed to help crafters create envelopes and grew into an international craft-supplies business selling tools, materials and related products.
She joined the UK Dragons' Den panel in 2019, bringing experience in product development, direct selling and building a specialist consumer brand. Her biography is sometimes confused with those of other female Dragons because the programme has featured several prominent women from retail, design and investment.
Crafter's Companion is not the same business as Kelly Hoppen’s interior-design brand or Deborah Meaden’s investment portfolio. The distinctive founder-and-company pairing is Sara Davies and Crafter's Companion.
