Which twin protagonist leads the gangs in Assassin's Creed Syndicate?

Jacob Frye is the twin protagonist who leads the gangs in Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

Set in London during the Industrial Revolution, Syndicate follows twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they challenge Templar control of the city. Jacob is impulsive and focuses on direct action, recruitment, and building the Rooks, a gang that opposes the Blighters. Evie is more methodical and concentrates on stealth, investigation, and finding an Isu artifact.

The twins can both be played during the campaign, but their missions, abilities, and personalities differ. Jacob's gang-building activities are therefore distinct from Evie's search for the Piece of Eden. The protagonists also share some equipment and broader objectives.

A common mistake is answering Evie because she is equally important and often associated with stealth-focused missions. The game itself is titled Syndicate, while its London setting includes historical figures such as Queen Victoria, Charles Darwin, and Alexander Graham Bell.
