Which Tolkien work was published posthumously in 2007, edited by his son Christopher?

The story behind the answer

The Children of Húrin was published posthumously in 2007, edited by Christopher Tolkien.

The book presents a completed narrative assembled from J.R.R. Tolkien’s writings about Túrin Turambar and his sister Niënor. Christopher Tolkien edited and organized the material, combining versions from drafts and related texts to create a continuous standalone story.

Its events take place in the First Age of Middle-earth, long before The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The story centers on the curse placed by Morgoth on Húrin’s family and the tragic consequences that follow for his children.

The 2007 edition included illustrations by Alan Lee and was published by HarperCollins in the United Kingdom and Houghton Mifflin in the United States. It is distinct from Unfinished Tales, an earlier 1980 collection of varied texts.
