Fox originally broadcast Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The science-fiction television series premiered on the network in January 2008 and ran for two seasons.
The series follows Sarah Connor and her son John as they try to prevent Skynet’s rise. It begins after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day and introduces Cameron, a reprogrammed female Terminator sent to protect John. Lena Headey played Sarah, Thomas Dekker played John, and Summer Glau played Cameron.
Fox scheduled the show as part of its scripted television lineup and promoted it as a continuation of the Terminator mythology. Although it developed a dedicated audience, the series ended after its second season.
The CW is sometimes associated with the show because of its genre audience and later television franchises, but it was not the original broadcaster. The Sarah Connor Chronicles was a Fox series during its initial run.
