Which team won the first LMGT3 class race at Le Mans in 2024?

Manthey EMA won the first LMGT3 class race at Le Mans in 2024. Richard Lietz, Morris Schuring and Yasser Shahin drove the No. 91 Porsche 911 GT3 R to victory in the new category.

The 2024 event was the first Le Mans race to include LMGT3, a production-based class introduced into the FIA World Endurance Championship framework. Manthey EMA's Porsche completed 281 laps and won by one lap over Team WRT's BMW M4 GT3.

LMGT3 replaced the former GTE-based classes, bringing recognizable road-car-derived models from manufacturers such as Porsche, Ferrari, Ford, Aston Martin, Lexus and Corvette into the championship's support category. The class uses technical balancing so different cars can compete on more equal terms.

This result should not be confused with the overall victory. Ferrari AF Corse won the Hypercar category and the race overall, while United Autosports won LMP2. Manthey EMA's achievement was specifically the inaugural LMGT3 class win at Le Mans, making its Porsche the first winner in that category's history.
