The Dream Suite is a special facility on Main Street in New Leaf. After lying on Luna’s bed and entering a Dream Address, the player can visit another town in a dream, exploring its layout without permanently changing the original town. Players can also upload their own town for others to visit, making the feature an early form of shareable user-created tours.
Luna’s species is part of the concept: tapirs are traditionally associated with eating dreams in some folklore, including ideas discussed by the game’s developers. She is therefore not interchangeable with Serena, who is linked to the Dreaming service in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or Kaitlin and Leila, who are unrelated traveling characters. The Dream Suite was later discontinued when Nintendo ended New Leaf’s online services in 2024, although its original in-game role remains clear.
