Which studio produced the Shrek animated film series?

DreamWorks Animation produced the Shrek animated film series.

The first Shrek film was released in 2001 by DreamWorks Pictures and animated by DreamWorks Animation. It was based loosely on William Steig’s 1990 picture book Shrek!, but the film introduced a much larger comic world of fairy-tale characters, pop songs, and modern cultural references.

Shrek became one of DreamWorks Animation’s signature properties, alongside franchises such as Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon. The main series includes Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, and Shrek Forever After.

The franchise also generated spin-offs, television specials, video games, merchandise, and a stage musical. Its success helped DreamWorks compete directly with Pixar and Disney in the feature-animation market during the 2000s.
