Which studio led development of Assassin's Creed Odyssey?
Answer
Ubisoft Quebec
Answer
Ubisoft Quebec
Ubisoft Quebec led development of Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
The Quebec studio developed Odyssey as a follow-up to Assassin's Creed Origins. The game was released in 2018 and expanded the series' role-playing systems, dialogue choices, branching quests, and selectable protagonists. Its world is a large recreation of ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian War.
Ubisoft Quebec had previously worked on Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which was set in Victorian London. Ubisoft Montreal led development of Origins and several earlier mainline entries, so the two studios are often mixed up when discussing the franchise's evolution.
Odyssey includes naval travel, conquest battles, mercenary hunting, and encounters with historical figures such as Socrates and Pericles. Its story also explores the First Civilization, called the Isu, through artifacts and locations. The studio credit refers to the lead developer, not every team that contributed to the finished game.
