Which Stranger Things character is portrayed by Gaten Matarazzo?

Gaten Matarazzo portrays Dustin Henderson in Stranger Things. Dustin is one of the series’ central young characters and a member of the close-knit group that first investigates Will Byers’s disappearance.

Dustin is characterized by his quick wit, scientific curiosity, loyalty, and enthusiasm for Dungeons & Dragons. Within the group’s game, he serves as the Bard and often uses his knowledge of monsters and physics to help explain the supernatural events surrounding Hawkins. His cleidocranial dysplasia, which contributes to his distinctive speech, is also shared by Matarazzo and was incorporated into the character.

Viewers sometimes confuse Dustin’s performer with Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, or Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas Sinclair. Matarazzo’s role is especially recognizable because Dustin develops a major friendship with Steve Harrington, helps uncover the Russian operation beneath Starcourt Mall, and joins the Hellfire Club in season 4.
