The Creel family’s Hawkins residence in Stranger Things season 4 is called Creel House.
Creel House is introduced through the history of Victor Creel and his family. In 1959, Victor, his wife Virginia, and their children Henry and Alice move into the imposing home. A series of horrifying events there leads authorities to blame Victor, who is imprisoned at Pennhurst Mental Hospital after surviving the incident.
In the present-day season 4 story, the house becomes a major setting in the investigation of Vecna. Nancy, Robin, Steve, and Dustin explore its history while trying to understand the connection between the old murders and the new supernatural attacks. The house’s clock and decaying interior are recurring visual elements.
Creel House is not simply a haunted location unrelated to the larger mystery. Its history reveals that Henry Creel was the human being who became Vecna. The house therefore links the 1959 backstory with the events occurring in Hawkins in 1986.
