Which special Pokémon in Pokémon Pokopia is a talented painter?

Smearguru is the talented painter in Pokémon Pokopia.

Smearguru is a special Pokémon character encountered as Ditto restores habitats. The character is based on Smeargle, the Pokémon known throughout the franchise for its painting-related abilities. In Pokopia, Smearguru’s artistic talent becomes part of the game’s broader emphasis on creativity, decoration, and rebuilding.

Several other named Pokémon appear in the story, which makes these characters easy to mix up. Peakychu is a Pikachu who has lost the ability to generate electricity. DJ Rotom has possessed a stereo system, while Chef Dente is a Greedent associated with a chef trainer. Smearguru’s defining trait is painting.

The name is a character name rather than a species name. The underlying Pokémon is Smeargle, but the question asks for the special character’s name. Smearguru also fits the game’s pattern of giving familiar Pokémon distinctive roles in its post-apocalyptic world.
