Pokémon Pokopia’s Version 2.0 update added the move Dive for underwater exploration. The update launched alongside the first Expansion Pass content in August 2026.
Before this update, Pokopia’s core movement and construction systems focused mainly on land, cliffs, and surface water. Dive opened access to underwater areas and helped connect the new Bubbly Basin content to the existing adventure. It also introduced aquatic-themed Pokémon and furniture associated with the submerged town.
Dive is distinct from Surf, another move used in Pokopia for traveling across open water. In the game’s design, different Pokémon teach Ditto different environmental abilities, turning familiar Pokémon moves into practical building and traversal tools. The free update made underwater exploration available even to players who did not purchase the paid expansion pass.
