Which song from Disney’s 1998 animated Mulan was performed by 98 Degrees and Stevie Wonder?

“True to Your Heart” was performed by 98 Degrees and Stevie Wonder for Disney’s 1998 animated Mulan.

The song plays over the film’s end credits rather than serving as one of Mulan’s in-story musical numbers. Matthew Wilder and David Zippel wrote the song, while the soundtrack recording combined the American boy band 98 Degrees with Stevie Wonder.

The song is easy to confuse with “Reflection,” “Honor to Us All,” and “A Girl Worth Fighting For,” which are heard within the narrative. “True to Your Heart” is the prominent end-credit pop song associated with the movie’s commercial soundtrack.

The Mulan soundtrack helped connect Disney’s traditional animated musical format with contemporary pop performers. Its songs and score contributed to the film’s commercial and awards-season visibility after its 1998 release.
