Which sneaker was the first Reebok model to use the Pump fit-adjustment system?

The story behind the answer

The Pump was the first Reebok model to use Reebok’s Pump fit-adjustment system.

Reebok introduced the Pump in 1989 as a basketball shoe. Its central feature was an inflatable chamber around the ankle that users could tighten by pressing a small pump integrated into the tongue. A release mechanism let the wearer reduce the pressure.

The shoe debuted at the 1989 NBA All-Star Game, where Dominique Wilkins helped bring attention to it. Reebok promoted the idea that athletes could customize the fit more precisely than with ordinary laces alone.

The Pump name is sometimes used for the entire technology family, which later appeared on other Reebok models. The original sneaker is generally identified as the Reebok Pump, while the Omni Zone and later basketball shoes were separate applications of the system.
