Which small country is located between Spain and France?
Answer
Andorra
Answer
Andorra
The small country located between Spain and France is Andorra.
Andorra is a landlocked microstate in the eastern Pyrenees of southwestern Europe. Spain borders it to the south, while France borders it to the north and east. Its mountainous terrain makes it feel distinct from both neighbors, even though the country is nestled directly between them.
The principality covers about 468 square kilometres and has Andorra la Vella as its capital. Coma Pedrosa, at approximately 2,942 metres, is its highest point. Catalan is the official language, and the country’s economy has long been associated with tourism, skiing, retail, and finance.
Andorra has an unusual political history. Its co-princes are the Bishop of Urgell in Catalonia and the president of France, a system rooted in a medieval agreement made in 1278. It adopted its modern constitution in 1993. Although it uses the euro, Andorra is not a member of the European Union. Its position between France and Spain also made it an important smuggling route during World War II.
