Loreen won the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 for Sweden with “Tattoo.” Her victory made her the second performer to win Eurovision twice, after Ireland’s Johnny Logan.
Loreen had previously won the 2012 contest with “Euphoria,” one of Eurovision’s most influential modern winning songs. In 2023, “Tattoo” finished first in the overall ranking after combining national jury votes with public televoting.
The result gave Sweden its seventh Eurovision victory, tying Ireland’s record at the time. Loreen’s second win is often confused with Sweden’s earlier victories by performers such as Måns Zelmerlöw, who won in 2015, and Charlotte Perrelli, who won in 1999. “Tattoo” was written by Loreen with Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt, Jimmy Jansson, and others.
