Which singer duetted with Donna Summer on "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)"?

The story behind the answer

Barbra Streisand duetted with Donna Summer on “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough).”

Released in October 1979, the disco duet brought together two singers associated with very different musical worlds: Streisand’s theatrical pop and soundtrack work, and Summer’s dance-floor dominance. Paul Jabara and Bruce Roberts wrote the song, while Gary Klein and Giorgio Moroder handled production.

The song was recorded for Streisand’s album Wet and also included on Summer’s compilation On the Radio: Greatest Hits Volumes I & II. Its title was expanded from the original “Enough Is Enough” so it could fit the water-related theme of Wet; the song’s rain-soaked opening was added as part of that concept.

The single topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks and became the first duet by two women to reach number one on that chart. The two original record labels, Columbia and Casablanca, issued slightly different versions. Despite the song’s importance, Streisand and Summer never performed it together live.
