Answer
The Dawn Treader
Answer
The Dawn Treader
The Dawn Treader is the ship carrying the main characters in C.S. Lewis’s The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
The vessel gives the third-published Narnia book its title. King Caspian X commands the voyage eastward across the Great Eastern Ocean, seeking seven lords who were banished during the reign of his predecessor.
Edmund and Lucy Pevensie return to Narnia, joined by their cousin Eustace Scrubb. Much of the novel’s structure comes from the ship’s island-to-island journey, with each stop presenting a new danger, temptation, or transformation.
The story was published in 1952. It is sometimes confused with the 2010 film title, which uses the same name but adapts and compresses parts of the novel’s plot.
