Answer
The Chronicles of Narnia
Answer
The Chronicles of Narnia
C.S. Lewis wrote the seven-book fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia.
The series consists of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, The Horse and His Boy, The Magician’s Nephew, and The Last Battle. Lewis wrote and published the books from 1950 through 1956.
The stories take place mainly in Narnia, a world populated by humans, talking animals, dwarfs, giants, and other creatures. Children from Earth often enter the world through magical means, and time does not always pass at the same rate in both worlds.
The books are sometimes confused with J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, another major twentieth-century fantasy work. Lewis and Tolkien were friends and members of the Oxford literary group known as the Inklings, but they created separate fictional worlds and series.
