Aquinas was a Dominican friar, priest, philosopher, and theologian who lived in the 13th century. His best-known works include the Summa contra Gentiles and the Summa Theologiae.

Aquinas was born around 1225 in the Kingdom of Sicily and studied at the University of Naples, the University of Paris, and other centers of learning.
