Which Royal Caribbean ship introduced the North Star observation capsule?

The story behind the answer

Quantum of the Seas introduced Royal Caribbean’s North Star observation capsule.

The ship entered service in 2014 as the first vessel in Royal Caribbean’s Quantum class. North Star is a glass-walled capsule mounted on a mechanical arm that rises above the ship, giving passengers elevated views of the sea and nearby destinations.

At its highest point, the capsule reaches approximately 300 feet above sea level. It was designed as a distinctive attraction rather than a conventional enclosed observation lounge, and it became one of the most recognizable features of the Quantum-class ships.

Sister ships Ovation of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas also have North Star capsules. However, Quantum of the Seas was the ship that introduced the feature. The attraction is separate from Royal Caribbean’s later Ultimate Abyss slide, which appears on different ship classes.
