Which Route 66 attraction in Arcadia, Oklahoma, is a restored wooden barn built in 1898?

The story behind the answer

The Arcadia Round Barn is the Route 66 attraction in Arcadia, Oklahoma, that was built in 1898 and later restored.

The two-story barn is unusual because its upper level is formed by a distinctive circular roof structure made from curved wooden boards. Local farmer William Harrison Odor built it near the center of Arcadia, and it originally served ordinary agricultural purposes rather than tourism.

The barn deteriorated badly during the twentieth century, especially after its roof failed. Volunteers formed the Arcadia Historical and Preservation Society in the 1980s and helped save the structure. Restoration work returned it to use as a community landmark.

Its location beside historic Route 66 helped make the barn a popular stop for travelers. The building now hosts events and exhibits, including displays about local history and the Mother Road.
