Refused performed the Samurai songs heard in Cyberpunk 2077.
Refused is a Swedish hardcore punk band formed in Umeå in 1991. For the game, the band recorded music as Samurai, the fictional chrome-rock group fronted by Johnny Silverhand. The project allowed CD Projekt Red to give Samurai a convincing catalogue while connecting the fictional band to an established punk act.
The collaboration includes songs such as “Chippin’ In,” “Never Fade Away,” and “The Ballad of Buck Ravers.” Refused’s involvement is separate from other Cyberpunk 2077 musical contributors, including Health, Grimes, and Run the Jewels, whose tracks appear under their own names or collaborations.
