Samurai is the name of Johnny Silverhand’s former band in Cyberpunk 2077.
The fictional group is a chrome-rock band from Night City’s past, fronted by Johnny Silverhand and featuring Kerry Eurodyne, Nancy Hartley, Henry, and Denny during different periods. Samurai’s music and anti-corporate image make the band central to Johnny’s legend.
The game includes newly recorded songs performed by the real Swedish hardcore band Refused, who act as Samurai for the soundtrack. This arrangement is why questions about Samurai can involve either the fictional band or the real-world performers. Samurai’s best-known in-game songs include “Chippin’ In” and “Never Fade Away.”
