Which raptor migrates from northern Europe to Africa and is especially known for eating wasp and bee larvae?

The story behind the answer

The European honey buzzard migrates from northern Europe to Africa and is especially known for eating wasp and bee larvae.

It breeds across much of Europe and parts of western Asia before crossing into Africa for winter. Migration routes often concentrate at land bridges and straits, where birds can reduce the amount of open water they must cross.

Despite its name, it is not closely related to true honey buzzards in every region, and it does not depend mainly on honey. Its specialized diet consists largely of social wasp and bee brood excavated from nests. Dense feathers around the head and legs help protect it from stings.

Its plumage varies greatly, so identification can be difficult. The long wings, narrow head, and flight style are useful clues when compared with common buzzards.
