Which professional golfer holds the record for the most LPGA Tour wins? Kathy Whitworth holds the record, with 88 official victories.

Whitworth’s wins came between 1962 and 1985, a remarkable span covering more than two decades of women’s professional golf. She won at least one LPGA Tour event in 17 consecutive seasons, from 1962 through 1978, and was inducted into the LPGA Tour Hall of Fame in 1975.

Her total is sometimes confused with major-championship victories or overall professional wins. The 88 figure refers specifically to official LPGA Tour victories. Mickey Wright, Patty Berg and Annika Sörenstam were also dominant champions, but none surpassed Whitworth’s tour total.

Whitworth also won the LPGA Player of the Year award seven times and captured the Vare Trophy for scoring average seven times. Her record remains one of the defining statistical achievements in women’s golf.
