Which production won the 2026 Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Play for Jack Knowles?

Death of a Salesman won the 2026 Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Play for Jack Knowles.

Knowles's lighting award recognized the visual design of Arthur Miller's revival, a play that moves between the present and memory as Willy Loman's family confronts his failing hopes. Lighting is especially important in the drama because shifts in atmosphere help distinguish recollection, fantasy, and immediate reality.

The production was directed by Joe Mantello and starred Nathan Lane as Willy Loman. It also won Best Revival of a Play, Best Direction of a Play, Best Featured Actress in a Play for Laurie Metcalf, and Best Sound Design of a Play for Mikaal Sulaiman.

Death of a Salesman was the ceremony's leading production, winning six awards in total. It was nominated in nine categories, while the revival's design honors helped make it the most decorated show of the night.
