Trunki was the product rejected by the Dragons when inventor Rob Law pitched it on Dragon's Den.
Trunki is a ride-on children's suitcase designed by British inventor Rob Law. Law presented the product on Dragon's Den, but the Dragons did not make an investment offer. Despite that televised rejection, Trunki went on to become a successful travel-product brand.
The story is frequently used as an example of the difference between a television pitch and a company's later commercial performance. A refusal on the programme does not prevent an entrepreneur from finding other ways to manufacture, market and distribute a product.
Trunki is sometimes mixed up with Tangle Teezer, another well-known product associated with the programme. They are separate businesses and pitches. Trunki concerns children's luggage and its inventor is Rob Law.
