Jordan Daykin secured Dragon's Den investment for GripIt Fixings, a wall-mounting product designed for plasterboard.
Daykin appeared on the BBC programme as a teenager and presented GripIt, a fixing system intended to hold heavy objects securely in plasterboard walls. The design aimed to solve a common household problem: ordinary plugs can fail when used in weaker wall materials.
His pitch became notable because he was reported as the youngest entrepreneur to secure investment on the programme. The product was commercialised as GripIt Fixings and was sold through retail and trade channels, giving the invention a market beyond the television appearance.
GripIt is sometimes confused with Trunki, another famous British product associated with Dragon's Den. Trunki is the children's ride-on suitcase pitched by Rob Law, whereas Jordan Daykin's product was a plasterboard fixing system.
