Answer
Children’s ride-on suitcase
Answer
Children’s ride-on suitcase
Trunki presented a children’s ride-on suitcase on BBC’s Dragons’ Den.
The product was designed for young travellers who could sit on and pull the small, hard-sided suitcase. Its wheels, handle and child-friendly shape made it both luggage and a ride-on aid for journeys through airports and other travel settings.
Inventor Rob Law pitched Trunki on the programme. The business did not secure the deal he wanted, but the product later became commercially successful and developed into a widely recognised travel brand.
Trunki is sometimes remembered simply as a children’s suitcase, but that description misses the feature that made the product distinctive: children could ride on it. It is also separate from adult wheeled luggage, foldable bicycles and other travel accessories that have appeared in entrepreneurial pitches.
