Which product did inventor Shaun Pulfrey pitch on BBC Dragons' Den in 2007?

The story behind the answer

Shaun Pulfrey pitched the Tangle Teezer on BBC Dragons' Den in 2007.

Pulfrey, a British hairdresser and inventor, designed the detangling hairbrush after noticing how ordinary brushes could pull and damage hair. The product used flexible, differently sized teeth to separate knots more gently.

Pulfrey sought investment from the Dragons, but they declined his offer. This is a frequently remembered part of the Tangle Teezer story because the business later became highly successful despite leaving the programme without a deal.

The company was founded in 2007, and the brush became an internationally sold product. Its Dragons' Den appearance is therefore often cited as an example of a business succeeding after rejection on the show, alongside products such as Reggae Reggae Sauce and Levi Roots' food brand.
