Evan Davis took over from Adrian Chiles on the British television programme Dragon's Den.
Davis became the show's presenter from its third series. He introduced entrepreneurs, managed the transitions between pitches and helped explain offers, equity negotiations and due diligence to viewers. His calm interviewing style became a recognizable part of the programme.
Adrian Chiles had presented the first two series after the BBC launched the British adaptation in 2005. Davis's arrival therefore marked an early change in the programme's on-screen presentation, even though the central pitch-and-investment format remained the same.
Davis is also known for presenting Radio 4's Today programme and the BBC current-affairs programme Newsnight. He is a journalist and broadcaster rather than one of the investors, so he does not count as a dragon. The dragons evaluate the businesses and decide whether to make offers.
