Evan Davis took over as presenter of the British television show Dragon's Den from series 3.
Davis replaced Adrian Chiles after the programme's first two series. He became the on-screen guide to the pitches, explaining business terminology and helping viewers follow the often rapid negotiations between entrepreneurs and Dragons.
His appointment gave Dragon's Den a presenter with a background in economics and journalism. Davis had worked for the BBC as an economics correspondent and presenter before joining the programme.
The presenter is separate from the investors: Davis did not sit on the panel as a Dragon. The investors make offers, while the presenter introduces each pitch and provides continuity between businesses.
