Evan Davis succeeded Adrian Chiles as presenter of the British television series Dragon's Den.
Davis took over after the programme's first two series and became the familiar host for much of its subsequent run. He introduces entrepreneurs, explains the business context and provides links before and after the central negotiation with the dragons.
Although Davis is closely associated with the programme, he is not an investor. The dragons are the businesspeople who decide whether to make offers, while the presenter acts as the audience's guide. This division is important because the show gives substantial screen time to both the host and the investor panel.
Evan Davis is also known for journalism and broadcasting beyond Dragon's Den. He presented BBC economics and current-affairs programming and became a presenter on BBC Radio 4's Today programme. His tenure helped establish the show's recognisable presentation style after the original host's departure.
