Which Portuguese exchange is part of the Euronext group and is based in Lisbon?
Answer
Euronext Lisbon
Answer
Euronext Lisbon
Euronext Lisbon is the Portuguese exchange in the Euronext group and is based in Lisbon.
The market traces its history to the Bolsa de Valores de Lisboa, founded in 1769. In 2002, the Lisbon exchange joined Euronext, the pan-European exchange group formed through the combination of markets including Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris.
Euronext Lisbon provides trading and listing services for Portuguese equities, bonds, and other securities. Its best-known broad stock-market measure is the PSI, which tracks major companies listed in Portugal.
Euronext Lisbon is not the same institution as Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam, or Euronext Brussels. Those are separate national-market venues within the same multinational group, while Lisbon serves Portugal’s capital market.
