In Pokémon Pokopia, Squirtle teaches Ditto Water Gun to revive dry plants. The move is adapted for environmental restoration, allowing Ditto to water vegetation across the damaged landscape.
This is one example of how Pokopia reinterprets familiar Pokémon abilities. In the main Pokémon games, Water Gun is a basic Water-type attack. In Pokopia, the same recognizable move becomes a tool for nurturing the world and preparing habitats for returning Pokémon.
Squirtle is one of the original three Kanto starter Pokémon offered in Pokémon Red, Green, Blue, and their related versions. Its water-based identity makes it a natural source for this ability. Water Gun should not be confused with the separate water-travel ability associated with another Pokémon in Pokopia.
