Which Pokémon serves as Pokopia's professor-like guide?

Professor Tangrowth serves as Pokémon Pokopia's professor-like guide.

This character is a Tangrowth with an unusual appearance who has taken responsibility for studying the damaged environment. After Ditto begins exploring the abandoned world, it meets Professor Tangrowth and joins the effort to understand why humans and Pokémon disappeared.

Professor Tangrowth is not one of the human researchers who introduce players to the main series' regional Pokédexes. The character reflects Pokopia's altered setting, where Pokémon themselves must investigate the ruins and solve the environmental mystery.

The professor's role also helps connect the story to the practical gameplay loop. Restoring habitats is not merely decoration: it is part of the larger attempt to make the region livable again. As Ditto and Professor Tangrowth progress, they discover clues about humanity's departure and encounter a mysterious tower linked to the Team Initiation Challenge.
