Tangrowth is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV, but Pokopia gives it a distinctive role and title. It should not be confused with Professor Oak or other human Pokémon professors. In this game, the professor figure is itself a Pokémon, reflecting Pokopia's focus on a world where Pokémon must organize life after humanity's departure.
