Peakychu is the Pokémon Pokopia character who has lost the ability to generate electricity.
Peakychu is a special Pikachu encountered during the game’s story. Although Pikachu is commonly associated with electrical power, this character’s defining problem is the inability to generate electricity. That detail makes Peakychu distinct from an ordinary Pikachu and ties the character to Pokopia’s broader theme of Pokémon recovering in a damaged world.
Pokopia includes several named or unusual Pokémon characters rather than treating every inhabitant as an interchangeable species member. Smearguru is an exceptionally talented Smeargle, Mosslax is a Snorlax covered with moss and plants after sleeping for a long time, and DJ Rotom possesses a stereo system. These characters are easy to mix up because their names combine species references with their roles or traits.
Peakychu should not be confused with Pikachu’s species name or with a character whose main role is painting, cooking, or music. The electricity-related clue specifically identifies Peakychu, the Pikachu whose lost ability becomes part of its story.
