Peakychu is a Pikachu character in Pokémon Pokopia.
Peakychu is introduced as a Pikachu who has lost the ability to generate electricity. The name is a special character name used within Pokopia, while Pikachu remains the Pokémon species being represented. This makes the character different from a newly evolved species or a separate official Pokémon species.
The distinction matters because Pikachu has two closely related Pokémon in its evolutionary family: Pichu and Raichu. Peakychu is not either of those Pokémon. It is a named Pikachu whose unusual condition gives it a specific role in Pokopia’s story and community.
Pokopia uses several playful character identities to show how familiar Pokémon can have different lives and jobs in the rebuilt world. Peakychu’s lost electrical ability is one example of the game’s emphasis on individual circumstances rather than only standard battle characteristics.
