Which Pokémon generation range supplies the roster in Pokémon Pokopia?

The story behind the answer

Pokémon Pokopia’s roster draws from Generations I through IX.

That range covers the Pokémon introduced from the original Kanto games through the Generation IX era. The game therefore combines classic species with Pokémon from newer parts of the franchise rather than restricting itself to one region or generation.

The roster contains 300 Pokémon, but those 300 are selected across the nine generations available when the game was released. This does not mean every species from Generations I through IX appears in Pokopia.

The generation range can be confused with the number of Pokédex entries or with the game’s launch roster total. Generations I through IX identifies the historical source range; 300 identifies the number of included Pokémon. Together, the figures explain why Pokopia can feature a varied community while remaining focused on carefully designed habitats.
