Which Pokémon does Pokémon Pokopia feature as Professor Tangrowth?

Tangrowth is the Pokémon featured as Professor Tangrowth in Pokémon Pokopia.

Professor Tangrowth is a story character who has taken responsibility for studying the damaged environment and investigating why humans and Pokémon disappeared. The character meets Ditto early in the adventure and helps frame the game’s central mystery.

The title is a descriptive name rather than a separate species. Tangrowth remains the Pokémon species, while “Professor” reflects the character’s role as an investigator and environmental researcher. This makes the character different from the playable Ditto, which imitates a human form.

Tangrowth is also distinct from other special characters in the game. Peakychu is a Pikachu that has lost its ability to generate electricity, while Mosslax is a Snorlax covered by moss and plants. These named characters can make the cast seem confusing, but Professor Tangrowth specifically refers to the Tangrowth who guides the restoration story.
