Which Pokémon acts as Pokopia’s professor and environmental researcher?

Professor Tangrowth acts as Pokémon Pokopia’s environmental researcher.

The character is a Tangrowth who has given himself the title “Professor Tangrowth.” He studies the damaged world and investigates the mystery of why humans and Pokémon left. He meets the transformed Ditto and helps guide the effort to restore habitats.

Professor Tangrowth is not one of the human professors who introduce players to Pokémon in the main series. His role reflects Pokopia's altered setting, where humans are absent and Pokémon themselves are responsible for understanding and rebuilding their world.

The name can be confused with Professor Oak, Professor Rowan, or other human researchers from earlier Pokémon games. Those characters belong to different regions and stories. In Pokopia, the key scientific guide is a Tangrowth, and his title is part of the game's unusual post-apocalyptic premise.
