Jaymiëll Martina recorded 12 strikeouts for Curaçao against Japan in the 2026 Little League World Series semifinal.
Martina starred for Pariba Little League when Curaçao defeated Japan 4–0 in the international championship game on August 29. The performance combined dominant pitching with offense: he also produced an RBI double in the victory.
The 12-strikeout total belongs to the international semifinal, not the following championship game. That distinction matters because Martina continued to be associated with Curaçao’s title run, while the final was a separate game against Nevada.
Martina’s name includes a diaeresis over the first vowel in “Jaymiëll.” Accurate spelling is useful when distinguishing him from other 2026 players, including Japan’s Rui Tobata and Ohio’s Walker Osborne.
