Carsynn Meyer became the first American girl to play in a Little League World Series title game in 2026.
Meyer was an outfielder for Paseo Verde Little League of Henderson, Nevada. She appeared in the championship game against Pariba Little League of Curaçao, which Curaçao won 11–2.
Her appearance was also historically notable because she became only the second girl overall to play in a Little League World Series title game. The first was Sayaka Tsushima, who represented Kashima Little League of Ibaraki, Japan, in 1998.
Meyer’s milestone did not depend on her team winning the championship. Nevada’s runner-up finish still placed her in the tournament’s history alongside Tsushima.
