Which pirate captain commanded the ship Fancy during the 1695 capture of Ganj-i-Sawai?

The story behind the answer

Henry Every commanded the ship Fancy during the 1695 capture of Ganj-i-Sawai.

Every began the voyage as commander of the privateer Charles II, but his crew seized the vessel and renamed it Fancy after a mutiny. The ship then sailed into the Indian Ocean, where Every joined forces with other English pirates and attacked valuable Mughal shipping.

The capture of Ganj-i-Sawai made Every exceptionally wealthy and famous. Unlike many pirates who were eventually captured or killed, he disappeared after returning to the Atlantic world. No reliable evidence establishes exactly where or when he died.

Every is sometimes called Long Ben, a nickname also associated with other historical figures in different contexts. He should not be confused with Captain William Kidd, who was pursuing pirates in the Indian Ocean around the same period but was not the commander of Fancy.
