Which pigeon character operates The Roost coffee shop? Brewster. The calm, bespectacled pigeon is the café’s signature proprietor, serving coffee from behind the counter in several Animal Crossing games.

The Roost first appeared in Animal Crossing: Wild World, where it occupied a basement room in the museum. In Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, it remained a popular meeting place, often hosting villagers and special characters. New Leaf also lets the player work part-time there after building a relationship with Brewster through repeated coffee orders.

Players sometimes confuse Brewster with K.K. Slider because K.K. performs at The Roost on Saturday nights in earlier games. K.K. is the musician, not the café owner. Brewster’s pigeon identity also explains the series’ famous “pigeon milk” detail: after enough visits in some games, he may offer it as a coffee preference.
