Aaron Nola earned the win for the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2026 MLB Field of Dreams Game.
Nola started for Philadelphia against the Minnesota Twins at the renovated ballpark in Dyersville, Iowa. His victory was part of a 7–1 Phillies triumph, giving Philadelphia a memorable result in the event’s third MLB edition.
Nola joined the Phillies’ pitching staff in 2015 after Philadelphia selected him seventh overall in the 2014 MLB draft. He became one of the club’s most established starters and had already represented the Phillies in postseason games before the Field of Dreams contest.
The winning pitcher is sometimes confused with the losing starter, Taj Bradley of Minnesota. Bradley left after the fourth inning, while Nola received credit for the victory. A pitcher receives the win according to official scoring rules, so the winning pitcher is not necessarily the player who records the most strikeouts or pitches the final inning.
