Torii Hunter managed one team in the 2026 MLB High School All-American Game at the Field of Dreams site.
Hunter was a five-time All-Star and a longtime Minnesota Twins standout. He managed one side of the high-school showcase held during the 2026 Field of Dreams events, while Hall of Famer Jim Thome managed the other team.
The high-school game was separate from the Phillies–Twins Major League contest. It was the seventh edition of the MLB High School All-American Game and took place on August 12, one day before the MLB matchup.
Hunter’s role can be confused with the pregame appearances by other former stars and Hall of Famers. He was specifically a manager in the youth showcase, not the manager of Minnesota’s Major League team during the regular-season game.
